Mangaluru: South Canara District Central Co-operative Bank (SCDCC) posted a profit of Rs 131.1 crore for the year ended March 31, 2026, an 18.7% increase from Rs 110.4 crore last year, said president MN Rajendra Kumar. Speaking to reporters Saturday, he said the 112-year-old bank recorded total business of Rs 20,226.1 crore in 2025-26, up 16.4% from Rs 17,366.6 crore. The bank has set a business target of Rs 22,500 crore for 2026-27. Asset quality improved, with the NPA ratio declining from 2.4% to 2.2%. Without relying on govt deposits, SCDCC mobilised Rs 9,264.6 crore in deposits, up 17.5%. The bank has maintained 100% recovery of agricultural loans for 31 years and plans to open 10 new branches this year.
