Margao: State govt ordered the transfer and posting of eight senior scale officers of the Goa Police Service (SP rank) with immediate effect.Among the key changes, Santosh Dessai has been appointed SP (South) with additional charge of SP (Kushavati), replacing Tikam Singh Verma. Rajendra Raut Dessai has been posted as SP (wireless), while Jivba G Dalvi took charge as SP (motor transport). Rajesh Kumar has been appointed SP (coastal security), and Tushar Vernekar has been moved to SP (HQ). Nutan Verenkar has been posted as SP (anti-human trafficking unit) with additional charge of SP (pink force), Rajan Nigalye as SP (ACB), and Pravinkumar Vast as SP (tourist police unit).Several officers will also carry dual responsibilities alongside their new postings. Vernekar will continue to hold charge of deputy SP (CM security) until further orders, while Verenkar will retain her role as deputy SP (AHTU) and Nigalye will continue as deputy SP (ACB). Vast will additionally hold charge of deputy SP (HQ – liaisoning and procurement cell), and Dalvi will also shoulder responsibilities as deputy SP (crime I).In a separate order, govt also announced new postings for three IPS officers with immediate effect. Shekhar Prabhudessai has been appointed SP (Konkan Railway), while Shruti Arora was posted as SP (SPCR) with additional charge of SP, State Crime Records Bureau. Verma, who has been relieved as South Goa SP following Dessai’s appointment, has been posted as principal of the Police Training School in Valpoi.
