Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Saturday inspected Devipad Shaheed Smarak (Miller) Higher Secondary School on Beerchand Patel Path in Patna and reviewed its infrastructure and academic facilities. He began the visit by paying floral tributes to freedom fighter Shaheed Devipad Choudhary at the memorial before touring the campus.Samrat inspected the classrooms, laboratories, sports facilities and other basic infrastructure, asking officials to assess the requirements for developing the institution into a model school. He was briefed on the Smart STEAM, Robotics and AI Lab, where modern learning tools are creating new opportunities for students.He later visited classrooms and interacted with students about their studies and day-to-day academic activities. Samrat also sought suggestions from students and teachers on measures to improve the learning environment.He said quality education, modern facilities and a strong academic atmosphere remained among the state govt’s top priorities. Miller School, he said, should have smart classrooms, better-equipped laboratories, an expanded library, improved sports facilities, stronger basic infrastructure and a beautified campus. He directed officials to prepare a time-bound action plan for the school’s comprehensive development and ensure its early implementation.The chief minister also emphasised promoting academic activities between 5pm and 8pm and instructed officials to ensure proper lighting at the Miller School ground. Samrat said the govt was continuously working to strengthen the education sector and that modern resources and an improved school environment would support students’ overall development and prepare them for future challenges.Present on the occasion were BJP MLC Nawal Kishore Yadav, principal secretary to the CM Deepak Kumar, secretary to the CM Lokesh Kumar Singh, energy secretary Ajay Yadav, Patna divisional commissioner Mayank Barbare, DM Kundan Kumar, SSP Kartikeya K Sharma, senior officials of the education department and school principal Kiran Kumari.
