Kanpur: A 67-year-old retired ENT surgeon died after falling from his scooter near Anandpuri Gate in Kanpur on Saturday evening. Family members alleged that he suffered a heart attack after the vehicle bounced over a speed breaker.According to police, Naresh Chandra, a resident of Kidwai Nagar B-Block, was returning home around 5.30 pm after closing his private clinic when the incident occurred in the Babupurwa police station area.His family said he lost balance as the scooter crossed a speed breaker and fell from the vehicle. They alleged that his condition deteriorated after the fall and that he suffered a heart attack.Chandra sustained serious injuries to his hand and mouth in the incident. Passers-by alerted his family, who took him to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination.Police inspected the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination.Chandra had worked as an ENT surgeon at KPM Hospital before retiring. He later ran a private clinic in Kidwai Nagar.He is survived by his wife, Sunita Gupta, son Yash Chandra and daughter Ankita.
