Panchkula: Panchkula traffic police Thursday challaned two luxury vehicles for using illegal black films on their windows, imposing fines of Rs 10,000 on each vehicle.One vehicle was intercepted near Old Panchkula, while the other was challaned near Tank Chowk. The drive resulted in a total penalty of Rs 20,000.Commissioner of police Pankaj Nain said the use of black films on vehicle windows was not only a traffic violation but also a serious security concern.“Using black film on vehicle windows against the rules is not only a traffic violation but also a serious security concern. It becomes difficult to see the people and items inside the vehicle, which can be misused by criminals,” he said.Nain added that clear visibility inside vehicles is important during police checks and security nakas, as it helps prevent concealment of weapons, narcotics or stolen property. He said the enforcement drive against such violations would continue.
