Pune: Come Sunday, Metro rakes operating on both the routes in the city would have reserved seats for women and senior citizens. A total of 46 seats would be reserved in each rake for women and eight for senior citizens. The initiative would be flagged off on theoccasion of International Women’s Day on March 8.

The detailed seating layout (drawing/signages) would be on display in Metro coaches, at stations and on the official cellphone app. Maha Metro officials requested commuters to identify the reserved seats through the signage inside the coaches. The Maha Metro administration appealed to all passengers to respect the reserved seats and cooperate with commuters to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience for everyone.
