Mangaluru: Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) recorded its highest-ever monthly passenger traffic since the start of commercial operations on Oct 31, 2020, by handling 2,45,708 passengers in Jan 2026.Of the total, 1,63,966 were domestic travellers and 81,742 were international passengers — the highest monthly domestic and international traffic figures since operations began. The airport also logged 1,624 air traffic movements (ATMs) during the month, including 1,141 domestic, 425 international and 58 general aviation (GA) movements.
The 425 international ATMs set a new monthly record, surpassing the previous high of 422 in Dec 2025. GA movements also touched a new peak at 58, exceeding the earlier record of 57 in Jan 2024. However, the highest domestic movement count remains 1,240 ATMs, achieved in Oct 2025.
