Bengaluru: Roppen Transportation Services Pvt Ltd, which operates mobility platform Rapido, has received a five-year licence from the state transport authority to operate cab services across Karnataka. The licence is valid until Aug 2031.In a press release, Rapido stated that the company operates in 21 cities, supports over 3.1 lakh captains and has more than 2 crore registered customers.Rapido co-founder Pavan Guntupalli said Karnataka is one of its most important markets. He said the licence would help Rapido strengthen its cab services within a formal regulatory framework and continue working with the govt and transport department to provide safe, reliable and accessible mobility services.
