Ranchi: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested a man with 14 kg of marijuana valued at Rs 7 lakh during an inspection at Hatia railway station in Ranchi city on Saturday, police said on Sunday.The RPF said that the accused was identified as Sandip Kumar (18), a native of Kaimur district in Bihar.Following a tip-off, a joint team comprising its flying squad and crime branch conducted an inspection of the platform on Saturday and found Kumar sitting at the station with a trolley and a backpack. The force said that the marijuana was found in seven packets in his bags.During interrogation, the accused told the police that he was carrying the material from Odisha. The accused added that he planned to sell the material in Bihar for his personal gain.
