JAIPUR: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Rajasthan government on Tuesday night transferred 65 IAS officers, including 25 district collectors, in a sweeping administrative overhaul.Among key changes, Jaipur collector Jitendra Soni has been moved to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) as secretary to the chief minister. He will also hold charge as secretary of the Department of Information and Public Relations, news agency PTI reported.Finance (budget) secretary Rajan Vishal has been appointed mission director of the Jal Jeevan Mission, while special secretary to the chief minister Sandesh Nayak has been named the new Jaipur collector.Barmer collector Tina Dabi has been shifted to Tonk as district collector.Several districts, including Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Pratapgarh, Sikar, Phalodi, Baran, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Chittorgarh, Pali, Sirohi, Bundi, Deedwana-Kuchaman, Nagaur, Karauli, Dausa, Khairthal-Tijara, Dungarpur, Salumbar, Deeg and Kotputli-Behror, have also been assigned new collectors.The transfer orders were issued by the state Department of Personnel.(With agency inputs)
