Jaipur: Young players from Rajasthan have once again showcased their talent at the national level and made their way to the international stage. Divyanshi Jain and Dhairya Gogia from the Sawai Mansingh Stadium-based Rajasthan Squash Academy have been selected in the Indian team for the 33rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship to be held in Panzhihua city, China. This championship will be held from May 20 to 24. The championship will have matches in the under-13 to under-19 age groups. Four players from India will participate in each category.Surbhi Misra, director of the Rajasthan Squash Academy, stated here on Saturday that both players were selected for this prestigious tournament based on trials held in Chennai from March 31 to April 4, 2026. Surbhi stated that four players from the academy participated in the trials – Divyanshi Jain and Dhairya Gogia in the U-13 category, and Gauri Jaiswal and Farid Andrabi in the U-15 category.In the U-13 category, Divyanshi (girls) and Dhairya (boys) were selected for the Indian team. Both players displayed excellent athletic skills during the trials. She added that Gauri Jaiswal and Farid Andrabi also performed well in the U-15 category, but have been placed on the reserve list. Surbhi described the selection of both players to the Indian team as a major achievement for the state’s sports community and expressed hope for a good performance at the Asian Championships.
