JAIPUR: A 28-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife by slitting her throat late Saturday in a village in Chaksu police station area near Jaipur and remained seated beside the body for hours before the crime came to light.Police have identified the accused as Ramavtar Regar, 28, who allegedly killed his wife, Sunita Devi, 25.According to police, the accused lived in the house with his wife, parents and two elder brothers. The victim’s brother told police that Sunita married Ramavtar in 2020 and had allegedly faced harassment over dowry and money since then. He also claimed the accused demanded a share in a house located in Pratap Nagar. The victim’s brother further alleged that the accused did not work and was addicted to intoxicants, while Sunita supported the household.
