PATNA: Rainwater entered the Orthopaedics Department of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) in Patna following heavy rainfall, with visuals from the hospital showing waterlogged wards, patients struggling to move and a snakelet moving through the accumulated water.A video from the hospital showed a snakelet making its way through the flooded floor of the department, while other visuals captured patients navigating the waterlogged premises.In one of the videos, a patient with rods fitted in a fractured leg is seen trying to get off a hospital bed as rainwater covers the floor.The footage also shows water entering patient wards and waiting area of the Orthopaedics Department.The flooding reportedly occurred after heavy rain lashed parts of Patna, leading to water accumulation inside the hospital building.The extent of disruption to medical services was not immediately clear, and hospital authorities are yet to issue a statement on the incident.
