Lucknow: Intermittent rain and overcast skies along with light breeze kept weather pleasant on Wednesday.Several parts of the city, including Gomtinagar, Chinhat, Hazratganj, Hussainganj and Chowk, received intermittent showers from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. A few rain spells occurred in the evening as well, marking the fourth consecutive day of rain in the city. Areas on the outskirts, including Sarojininagar, Malihabad and Rahimabad, also received showers.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a cloudy sky with one or two spells of thundershowers in the city on Thursday.According to Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) data, Lucknow recorded 26 mm of rain between 8.30 am on Tuesday and 8.30 am on Wednesday. Another 14.6 mm was recorded between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on Wednesday. Overall, the city received around 50 mm of rain from Tuesday morning to Wednesday evening.The maximum temperature on Wednesday was 32.6 degrees Celsius and minimum 27 degrees Celsius.Across UP, Hamirpur recorded the highest rainfall at 220 mm, followed by Mahoba at 155 mm, Banda at 123.2 mm and Chandauli at 117 mm. Raebareli recorded around 96 mm.Met officials said rain and thundershowers are very likely at a few places over west UP and at many places over east UP.
