Chandigarh: A day after meeting BJP national president Nitin Nabin and Punjab in-charge Satish Poonia in Delhi, Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon on Sunday said the party would form “strong teams” from the district to village level for the 2027 Punjab assembly elections.Dhillon, who met Nabin along with state BJP organisation secretary Manthri Srinivasulu, said the meeting focused on strengthening the party organisation and chalking out its election strategy. He said the discussions covered agriculture, youth, border security and urban development. “In the coming days, strong teams will be formed at the level of every district, every mandal and every village, which will yield positive results in the upcoming elections,” he said.Dhillon said Punjab was grappling with drug abuse, deteriorating law and order and the migration of youth abroad, alleging that the ruling party had no concrete solutions to these issues. He said the BJP was committed to making Punjab “safe, prosperous and progressive” and would strengthen its organisation down to every village and booth.Dhillon also launched the party’s official WhatsApp channel, saying it would provide people with updates on its daily activities, organisational decisions and central govt welfare schemes.
