Jaipur: Tension gripped Vaidpuri area in Transport Nagar Wednesday after a severed cattle head was found. Police reached the spot and took it into custody. A video of the incident soon surfaced, further escalating concerns among locals.Members of Bajrang Dal staged a protest outside the police station. Transport Nagar SHO Arun Kumar said the calf of a local resident, Vikas Harijan, had died four days earlier after being attacked by dogs.The complainant told police that the cow stopped giving milk after the calf’s death. He claimed the calf’s severed head was placed before the cow, after which it resumed giving milk. Following the video’s circulation, Bajrang Dal district secretary Jeet, along with supporters, reached the police station.The organisation has filed a complaint and warned of further protests if prompt action is not taken.SHO said, “A complaint has been filed in the matter and the cattle head that was found has also been sent for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway.”
