Jaipur: Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department and Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Government of Rajasthan, Praveen Gupta, on Thursday, reviewed the various preparations underway at Sawai Man Singh Stadium for the upcoming IPL matches in Jaipur and gave necessary directions to the officials in this regard.On this occasion, Joint Secretary to Government, Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Government of Rajasthan and Secretary, Rajasthan State Sports Council, Neetu Barupal, Chief Accounts Officer, Kamalpreet Kaur, PWD officials, Executive Engineer of Sports Council, Assistant Engineer, Vice President of Rajasthan Royals, Rajiv Khanna and other officials were also present.Preparations for the IPL matches in Jaipur began last month. The Public Works Department (PWD) team will complete all renovation and upgrade work on time to prepare the stadium for the matches. Priority is being given to spectator comfort and safety, ensuring spectators can enjoy the matches in a comfortable and convenient environment.Floodlights before IPL matchesCivil, water and electrical work, installation of new lifts, upgradation of washrooms of VIP South Stand along with North and other stands, removal of barbed wires and installation of new nets and all necessary works are being completed for the convenience and safety of the spectators.It is noteworthy that the 1995 batch IAS officer, Praveen Gupta, assumed the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Youth Affairs and Sports Department, here on Wednesday. Thursday marked the ACS Sports’ first visit since assuming charge. Neetu Barupal welcomed him with a bouquet.
