Vadodara: A minor road accident in Chhani escalated into a violent clash between three men after their two-wheelers collided in the Chhani area on Thursday, leaving a 63-year-old man and his son injured.According to the police, the incident occurred when Kamlesh Kachhiya, a resident of Chhani, was riding his motorbike to drop his son Krishna off at Bajwa. During the journey, another biker, identified as 30-year-old Ronak Purohit, allegedly rammed his bike into their vehicle, causing the father and son to fall onto the road.Following the collision, an argument broke out between the two sides. Purohit allegedly threatened the father-son duo during the heated exchange. Shortly afterward, an unidentified person also reached the spot and allegedly assaulted Kamlesh and Krishna.The police reached the scene and transported the injured to the hospital. Later, Kachhiya filed a complaint against Purohit, while the latter also lodged a counter-complaint against them.The city has been witnessing a series of road accidents in various areas due to rash driving, violations of traffic rules and drunken driving.Concerned over the rising number of such incidents, the police have launched an awareness campaign to encourage safer driving habits among citizens.
