Vadodara: Close to 2,000 policemen will stand guard on the route of the Ram Navami procession that will pass through the old city on Thursday. The police said that several teams will be deployed on the procession route along with drones that will monitor the yatra from the skies.Apart from the cops, six companies of state reserve police (SRP) and 500 home guards, as well as traffic brigade personnel, will be present on the route. “We will also be monitoring every moment through the CCTVs. Several meetings with the peace committee have been held to ensure that no untoward incident occurs,” the police added.Police will be keeping a close watch on the movement of history-sheeters and troublemongers, along with monitoring the social media posts.
