Mangaluru: Belthangady police Sunday evening busted an alleged prostitution racket being operated from a room inside a canteen on KEB Road in Belthangady Kasba village and arrested two persons.The accused have been identified as Sundar Shetty, who was running the canteen, and his associate Usman.According to police, the duo was allegedly involved in illegal prostitution activities with the intention of making unlawful profit by bringing women to the premises.A raid was conducted Sunday evening by a team lead by CI Ravi BS.A case has been registered at Belthangady police station under sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and Section 143(2) of BNS. Further investigation is under way.
