Gadchiroli: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday encouraged 96 tribal students from govt ashram schools in Gadchiroli district to ‘dream big’ and pursue their ambitions through education and perseverance. The students had a special interaction with the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.The students, visiting the national capital as part of an educational tour, received a warm welcome from the President, who spent time speaking to them individually about their education and future aspirations. President Murmu greeted the children with chocolates and asked about their names, villages, classes and career goals.The tour was organised under the District Annual Tribal Sub-Plan for students from govt ashram schools in Gadchiroli, Aheri and Bhamragad.One student from Potegaon told the President, “I want to become a teacher.” Appreciating the aspiration, President Murmu advised the students to remain dedicated to their studies and continue working hard to achieve their dreams.The students also toured various sections of Rashtrapati Bhavan, where they learnt about its history, architecture and constitutional significance. The Rashtrapati Bhavan administration also hosted refreshments for the visiting students.The educational tour includes visits to Parliament House, the Prime Ministers’ Museum, the National Science Centre, IIT Delhi, Jantar Mantar, Rajghat, the Red Fort, Qutub Minar and the National Zoological Park.The exposure is aimed at broadening the students’ understanding of India’s democratic institutions, scientific progress, cultural heritage and opportunities in higher education, while inspiring them to pursue ambitious academic and professional goals.
