Nagpur: A 30-year-old guitar trainer has been arrested under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl at his residence-cum-training centre in the Pratap Nagar area.Police said the accused, Anitya Manohar, runs his guitar classes near Trimurti Chowk. “A case of rape was registered against the guitar trainer on Thursday,” said senior inspector Pankaj Bondse of Rana Pratap Nagar police station.While Manohar also faces allegations of taking the survivor’s 13-year-old cousin into a room, police said Manohar sexually assaulted only the complainant’s daughter.The complainant, who had come to her mother’s house in the city with her daughters for summer vacation, enrolled her 10-year-old daughter and 13-year-old niece for guitar lessons.As per the complainant, the incident occurred a few days after the minor girls reached the training centre above a shop in Pratap Nagar in the afternoon. The complainant alleged that the guitar trainer took her daughter to a separate room and sexually abused her. The complainant lodged a report after learning of the incident.Police initiated further investigation. Senior police officers inspected the spot.
