Bhubaneswar: Sambalpur MP and former Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan took part in a ‘Tiranga Padayatra’ organised from Reserve Police Ground to Jail Chowk in Sambalpur on Sunday.Panchayati raj and rural development minister Ravi Narayan Naik, along with several public representatives, intellectuals, party workers, youths and a large number of students, participated enthusiastically in the march.Pradhan said the ‘Tiranga’ is a symbol of India’s national pride, self-respect and unity. The National Flag represents hopes, aspirations and progress of crores of citizens of the country. He urged citizens to turn the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, launched at the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, into a people’s movement. He said every citizen must discharge their responsibility by serving the motherland and strengthening the resolve to build a ‘Viksit Odisha’ and ‘Viksit Bharat’.During the padayatra, Pradhan paid tributes at the Shaheed Stambh and offered floral tributes at the statue of the great freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai. He also paid floral tributes to ‘Swabhaba Kabi’ Gangadhar Meher on his birth anniversary. Pradhan also appreciated the art and creativity of enthusiastic young people who were creating paintings on patriotism.
