Mysuru: In line with the directions of Election Commission, a special campaign was launched in Narasimharaja assembly constituency for the revision of the electoral roll on Saturday.As part of this initiative, voter verification and registration-related activities were carried out in various polling booth areas.Officers visited Little Sisters of the Poor old age home located on Mahadevapura Road, Gandhinagar, ward no. 27 of Mysuru City Corporation, to conduct voter verification. The old age home falls under the jurisdiction of polling stations 137 and 140. Around 25 senior residents are sheltered there, and with the aim of ensuring voting rights for the elderly and persons with disabilities, a letter and the necessary supporting documents were obtained from the head of the institution, following which verification was undertaken to enrol eligible residents in the voter list.On this occasion, MCC zonal oOfficer Ratnambike, additional ERO Rukmangad GB, BLO supervisors Krishna and Rakesh were present and completed the notice formalities.This apart, a similar special drive related to electoral roll revision was also conducted at St. Philomena’s College within Narasimharaja Assembly constituency. Additional AERO Girish, the BLOs, and BLO supervisors concerned with polling stations 11 and 14 were present at the site and carried out the required electoral roll revision work.During the special campaign, eligible citizens have been advised to contact the BLOs concerned with the necessary documents to make use of the opportunity for inclusion of their names in the voter list, corrections, or transfer of entries, according to Venkatesh C, electoral registration officer of Narasimharaja assembly constituency.
