The accused allegedly arrived in an SUV and forcibly took him away. After Kumar’s relatives alerted police through Dial 112, teams launched a city-wide vehicle checking drive and sealed key exit points. Around 3.30am, police received information that the victim had been taken to a forested area under Nagri police station limits. A raid was conducted and Kumar was rescued, while all four accused were arrested from the spot. Police said Kumar was found without clothes and had allegedly been assaulted. Investigators recovered mobile phones containing videos purportedly recorded by the accused. A stamp paper on which the victim was allegedly forced to sign was also seized.Preliminary investigation suggests the crime was driven by a personal grudge. Police said Kumar and the accused had been involved in a dispute over a girl about four months ago under Sadar police station limits, following which both sides had lodged FIRs against each other. “Further investigation is underway,” said SP.
