Thiruvananthapuram: A 27-year-old man, who is an accused in multiple criminal cases, including attempted murder and drug peddling, was arrested with MDMA following a brief chase in Kallambalam area on Thursday.The accused, Dipin, a native of Muthana, was nabbed by district anti-narcotic special action force (Dansaf) team based on confidential information, police said. According to officers, the Dansaf team intercepted his car near Muthana timber mill area. On spotting the police, Dipin allegedly attempted to flee, triggering a chase. Police later overpowered and took him into custody. During the search, the team seized 1.5g of MDMA from him. They also seized the car he was driving. Police said Dipin is an accused in several cases registered across multiple police stations in the district. Further investigation is under way to trace his supply network, police added.
