Gandhinagar: The state govt on Friday announced that piped natural gas (PNG) connections will be given on priority to restaurants, hotels, educational institutions, and socio-religious organizations in areas that are covered by gas distribution pipelines. Chief minister Bhupendra Patel chaired a high-level meeting of ministers and officials in Gandhinagar on Friday to take stock of the situation arising out of the war in West Asia and its impact on the availability of gas and other petroleum products in Gujarat.“In the review of the current status of natural gas supply, it was informed that there currently is adequate supply of PNG for domestic use to households,” a CMO statement said.The meeting was attended by deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi, energy minister Rushikesh Patel, food and civil supplies minister Raman Solanki, and top state administration officials.
