Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has rolled out Reduce-Reuse-Recycle (RRR) vans to collect old clothes, books, toys, shoes, utensils and other reusable household items under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan 2026’. PMC teams will distribute the collected items among needy people.According to an official communique issued on Friday, the initiative aims to promote reuse and recycling and reduce waste sent for disposal. An RRR drive was held in Ward 57 under Azimabad circle, with residents urged to hand over unused items.Students of Kamla Nehru Balika Vidyalaya also visited the sewage treatment plant at Beur under the ‘Swachhata Gyan Yatra’ and learnt about wastewater treatment, water management and environmental conservation.PMC conducted a cleanliness drive around a Ganesh Puja pandal in Ward 12, while devotees were urged to keep the area clean.Other campaign activities include dialogue sessions, Safai Mitra felicitation camps, sports competitions, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ and ‘Swachhata Se Samriddhi’.
