Times News NetworkKanpur:Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Panki Dham Railway Station in Kanpur as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, which has been enhanced with modern amenities on Friday evening.The Prime Minister conducted the virtual inauguration of the Panki Dham, Fatehpur, and Vindhyachal Amrit Bharat railway stations from the Jalandhar Cantt Railway Station. The event at Panki Dham Railway Station commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony.Originally constructed in 1981, the station is set to feature advanced passenger facilities. The Railways plans to introduce stoppages for over 30 trains at this location and aims to develop it into a terminal station in the future.The Prime Minister’s speech was broadcast live on a large LED screen. The event was attended by Minister Pratibha Shukla, MP Ramesh Awasthi, Mayor Pramila Pandey, MLAs Surendra Maithani and Neelima Katiyar, along with Panki mandir Mahant Jitendra Das.
