Thiruvananthapuram: The first-year improvement examinations for higher secondary and vocational higher secondary students will be held from Oct 12 to 17, said the joint director of higher secondary examination wing.The examination dates were announced based on a govt order issued to conduct the improvement examination in Oct.Earlier, the Plus One improvement examination was conducted in March along with the Plus Two examination. This had caused students considerable difficulties, including mental stress. General education minister N Samsudheen had received several representations requesting that the improvement examination not be held along with the second-year examination in March.Considering these representations, the minister directed that the improvement examination be conducted in Oct. Govt subsequently issued an order to hold the examination in Oct. The examination timetable will be announced shortly.
