Kanpur: Relatives of deputy chief flying instructor Sachin Bhatia reached the city mortuary soon after learning about the accident that killed him.Bhatia, a resident of Vadodara, Gujarat, had family connections in Kanpur, with his aunt Sushma and uncle Rajiv Bhatia living in RS Puram, Sarvodaya Nagar.The couple went to the mortuary, assessed the situation, and collected details from police officials present there.Sushma said Bhatia had visited their home two years ago and earlier used to stay with them during trips to Kanpur.Later, due to the distance from their residence, he rented a room near Green Park.Bhatia is survived by his wife Lipi, a teacher at a private school, and their seven-year-old daughter Jiyana. His father Satyendra is a businessman, and his elder brother Tarun runs a petrol pump in Vadodara. Family members were expected to arrive by 3 pm Friday.
