Srinagar, Feb 16: A delegation of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) visited the fire-affected families at Konikhan, Dalgate, to express solidarity and assess the damage caused by the recent blaze.

The delegation was led by District President Srinagar Abdul Qayoom Bhat and included Spokespersons Mohd Iqbal Tramboo and Zuhaib Yousuf Mir, former State Secretary Arif Laigaroo, District Vice President Mohd Shafi Kundangar, and other party members.

The leaders interacted with the affected families and assured them of all possible support during this difficult time. They urged the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, to ensure immediate rehabilitation and necessary relief for the victims. The delegation also appealed to the Vice Chairman LAWDA and other concerned officials to expedite the preparation of a detailed report so that prompt assistance can be provided to the affected households.

The PDP leaders further urged civil society groups and NGOs to come forward and extend humanitarian assistance, emphasising that collective efforts are essential in helping the affected families rebuild their lives.
