Mangaluru: Bajpe police have arrested a broker and two constables were suspended for forgery of police clearance certificates (PCC) of labourers.City police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said it is found that a broker has got police verification done for some labourers looking for work through constables without actual field verification or signature of the inspector. A case was registered and the broker was arrested, and the constables were suspended. Investigation so far revealed that those labourers were poor people looking for work and the broker played mischief with cooperation of the suspended constables, he said, adding that further investigation will reveal more details.Bajpe police have registered a case under Sections 336(2), 336(3), 340(2), 316(2), 316(5) and 318 (4) of the BNS against Bharath, a resident of Yakkar, Mamatha of Mangaluru and police staff. The accused have allegedly forged 31 PCCs without the knowledge of the police inspector.
