A viral claim has been circulating online that Patrick Clancy ran a marathon together with current wife, Dr Rachel Danis, days before ex-wife Lindsay Clancy killed her children. Lindsay is now on trial for the murder of Cora, Dawson, and Callan, who she killed on January 24, 2023.
Amid this, a claim spread widely that Patrick and Rachel ran the Bermuda Half Marathon together, just nine days before the tragic incident. This claim was shared on a Facebook group, but also made its way to a Reddit forum and Threads. To be sure, these claims came from unverified profiles, but quickly spread online amid the interest in the Lindsay Clancy trial.
Did Patrick Clancy, Rachel Danis run the 2023 marathon?
No, Patrick Clancy and Rachel Danis did not run the 2023 Bermuda Half Marathon together. As per reports, Patrick ran his first marathon in April 2024. It was the Boston Marathon and he ran to raise money for the Boston Children’s Hospital.
Further, the results of the 2023 Bermuda Half Marathon do not mention either Patrick Clancy or Rachel Danis. They are however, mentioned in the 2026 Bermuda Half Marathon results page.
Patrick finished 81st with a time of 1:43:11, while Rachel came in 105th with a time of 1:47:33.
The two began dating in 2024 and got married in 2026, so they ran the marathon together when they were in a steady relationship, and not while Patrick was married to Lindsay, as the viral posts have sought to suggest.
A person on Facebook also fact-checked the entire claim and shared a side-by-side screenshot. “So somebody pulled results from 2026, spun them online as if they happened in early 2023, and people ran with it—using it as “proof” that Patrick was supposedly with his current wife right before the tragedy. The truth: Did Patrick and Rachel run that race together? Yes. But it was three years later in 2026, after they were already together/married,” they wrote.

Dr Rachel Danis is a reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist. Patrick began to date Rachel in February 2024. She reportedly moved into his Upper East Side apartment in 2025. They appeared in public at the NYC Marathon in November 2025. The two got married in April 2026 and it became public knowledge during Lindsay’s trial in July 2026.
