Prayagraj: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the Congress and the Samajwadi Party, saying that the paper leak mafia is the legacy of these parties and will be reduced to dust. He asserted that there are only two places for those who play with the future of students – jail or hell.He said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central govt is bringing such a stringent law against the paper leak mafia that it will provide for a minimum punishment of 10 years and a fine of up to Rs 10 crore for those found guilty.”The CM was addressing a public gathering after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 125 development projects worth more than Rs 489 crore for the Fatehpur Sadar and Ayah-Shah assembly constituencies.

As soon as the CM arrived at the venue, the entire premises echoed with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Modi-Yogi Zindabad’.Addressing the gathering, Yogi stated, “The same people who exploited the youth, pushed students towards a dark future and played with the future of an entire generation are the same SP and Congress that are now shedding crocodile tears. We are grateful to the Prime Minister, who has taken major decisions over the past three days keeping students’ future in mind. No one can stop these mafia from being reduced to dust. This paper leak mafia is the legacy of Congress and the SP. They nurtured and protected these mafia.”He further informed that the NEET examination was conducted within the stipulated time so that students did not lose an entire academic year, and its results were also declared within the prescribed timeline. “Some members of the mafia group leaked the question paper. They were arrested, and several officials of the National Testing Agency (NTA) were dismissed. Some people have been arrested, their properties will be confiscated, and they will be punished. These are tough steps taken by PM Modi, keeping the bright future of students in mind. I wholeheartedly welcome, congratulate and thank him,” he added.The CM stated that PM Modi has taken several important steps for students and youth over the past 12 years. Through Digital India, the Pradhan Mantri Start-up Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Stand-up Yojana, he instilled a new ray of hope among India’s youth. By introducing the National Education Policy, he gave young people an opportunity to prove their talent on the global stage.The chief minister also targeted the “Saifai family” and alleged that the copying mafia had received patronage during Congress and SP govts. He said strict action was now being taken against such elements. “Prior to 2017, as soon as any vacancy was advertised, the ‘Safai syndicate’ would become active and get involved in unscrupulous activities,” said Yogi.Referring to the NEET paper leak, Yogi said the Centre acted immediately after the incident came to light. The accused were arrested and action was also taken against several officials associated with the examination system, he said. The govt, he added, was ensuring that examinations and results were conducted within a fixed timeline so that students did not lose an academic year. Anyone who plays with the future of students, he said, would face stringent action.Yogi said Fatehpur was counted among the country’s most backward districts before 2017, lagging in education, healthcare, agriculture, employment and basic infrastructure. Funds meant for development, he alleged, were lost to corruption and syndicates. Despite being located between Kanpur and Prayagraj, the district lacked proper roads, a medical college, industries and adequate employment opportunities for youths, he said.The chief minister alleged that almost all govt recruitments conducted between 2012 and 2017 were surrounded by controversies, with corruption dominating the process and deserving candidates being denied jobs. Safai syndicate used to dominate all the vacancies, he said.In contrast, his govt has provided govt employment to more than nine lakh youths in Uttar Pradesh over the past nine years through a transparent process, he said. Appointment letters are now issued on merit, and youths from Fatehpur are also securing govt jobs on the basis of their abilities, he added.On law and order, Yogi reiterated that those who challenge the rule of law have only two destinations—jail or hell. He said bulldozers were being used against the illegal properties of criminals and mafias and would continue to be used. No mafia would be allowed to threaten the safety of youths, traders or women, he said.Yogi also referred to recent bulldozer action in Lucknow, claiming that land belonging to the BJP office had been occupied by a former SP MLA and was recently cleared. He alleged that during previous govts, grabbing vacant land had become a business, but strict action was now being taken against such people.Highlighting development in Fatehpur, the CM said his govt had established the Amar Shaheed Jodha Singh Ataiya and Thakur Dariyao Singh Medical College, which has emerged as a key healthcare centre. Better road connectivity, industrial areas and employment opportunities under the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme are creating new opportunities, he said. Fatehpur is also gaining recognition for natural farming and organic products.Yogi said the state govt was implementing schemes for the poor and farmers without discrimination, including free ration, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana and farmer accident insurance, besides the govt bearing farmers’ electricity bills. He said the aim was to ensure development benefits reached every section.He said Fatehpur was no longer an aspirational district but had become a participant in Uttar Pradesh’s development journey. The projects worth more than Rs 487 crore include road widening, police lines and PAC barracks, upgradation of a govt ITI, an Ayush hospital and drinking water schemes. These projects, he said, would strengthen the resolve of building a developed Fatehpur, a developed Uttar Pradesh and a developed India.
