Hyderabad: Pan IIT, a society with representation from all 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), will organise the PanIIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 on March 8, at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace.Prabhat Kumar, chairman of Pan IIT Alumni India, said, “It is time that we encourage people to come to the Indus Valley from Silicon Valley,” while announcing the one-day summit, which will focus on AI-led transformation in India.“The Silicon Valley has benefitted enormously from the contributions of IITians, and now we want to see the same impact in India. The country stands at a critical juncture where technology, policy and societal aspirations must align to drive inclusive and sustainable growth. The PanIIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 is envisioned as a national platform bringing together leaders from govt, industry, academia, and the IIT alumni community to collectively shape responsible AI adoption, technology-enabled governance, and sector-specific transformation aligned with long-term national priorities,” he said.Organised by the IIT alumni network, which comprises over five lakh members, the summit is expected to host around 500 delegates, including policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, technologists and domain experts, .Discussions will focus on how artificial intelligence and advanced technologies are influencing policy frameworks, industrial practices, and innovation ecosystems, particularly in sectors critical to India’s future.Key areas of focus include pharmaceuticals and healthcare, defence and aerospace, infrastructure, energy, and telecommunications. Sessions will examine the application of AI in public service delivery, sustainable infrastructure development, energy transition, and strategic manufacturing, while identifying opportunities for collaboration between the public and private sectors.
