Noida/Ghaziabad: More than 53,000 candidates from GB Nagar and Ghaziabad will appear for the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board’s (UPPRPB) constable recruitment examination-2025 from June 8 to 10.Officials said around 42,000 candidates will take the exam at 20 centres in GB Nagar, while nearly 11,000 candidates will appear at 25 centres in Ghaziabad.The offline OMR-based examination will be conducted in two shifts each day — from 10 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 5 pm.With nearly 29 lakh candidates expected to appear for the recruitment test across Uttar Pradesh, authorities have intensified security and monitoring measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination and prevent malpractice.District administrations have deployed sector magistrates, static magistrates, centre superintendents and police personnel at all examination centres. Biometric verification of candidates will also be conducted before entry into examination halls.The arrangements were reviewed at a meeting held at the collectorate on Thursday and attended by senior civil and police officials.“Candidates have been advised to reach their examination centres well in advance and carry only permitted documents. Mobile phones, smartwatches, digital watches and other electronic gadgets will not be allowed inside the centres,” an official said.Authorities said special emphasis is being placed on strict adherence to examination protocols in view of instances of paper leaks and impersonation attempts reported in recruitment exams in recent years.Monitoring teams have been constituted and officials directed to maintain vigilance throughout the examination period.The constable recruitment test is among the largest recruitment drives undertaken by Uttar Pradesh Police in recent years and is expected to attract candidates from across the state.
