Ahmedabad: The state education department has announced the recruitment of gyan sahayaks on an 11-month contract in govt and grant-in-aid schools under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. The online application window will remain open until July 15.Applications are being invited for secondary and higher secondary schools. Candidates (upper age limit 48 years) selected for secondary schools will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs 24,000. Those chosen for higher secondary schools (upper age limit 50 years), will get Rs 26,000 a month.Candidates who have cleared the two-tier Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) for secondary and higher secondary levels will be given priority in the first phase. If vacancies remain, candidates who have cleared TAT in earlier years will be considered. In case of further vacancies, applicants with relevant academic and professional qualifications will be eligible.The merit list will be published on July 18, followed by document verification and school selection reporting for the first round on July 20. Subsequent rounds are scheduled for July 22 and July 24.
