Patna: A 13-year-old boy died and two teenagers sustained serious injuries after their motorcycle rammed a stationary truck on the roadside near Rampur-Nagwa village under Paliganj police station area in Patna district on Friday.The victims had visited Paliganj market on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and were returning home when the accident occurred. According to police, the motorcycle, allegedly being driven at high speed, crashed into the rear of the parked truck.The deceased was identified as Utkarsh Raj alias Kishu (13), son of Rajnish Kumar and a resident of Makhdumpur in Jehanabad district. The injured, Ravi Kumar (18) and Raunak Raj (15), both residents of Khanpura village under Kherimor police station area, were first taken to Paliganj sub-divisional hospital and later referred to PMCH as their condition was critical.After receiving information, police reached the spot and launched an investigation. The body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.Paliganj SHO Santosh Kumar said police were examining the circumstances leading to the accident and verifying details related to the motorcycle and the truck. Further legal action is underway.
