Kanpur: A 26-year-old man died and his friend was seriously injured after their speeding motorcycle hit a divider on Tandon Flyover in Kanpur Cantt on Sunday morning.Police said the deceased, Mohammad Afzal (26), a resident of Faithfulganj, and his friend, Manshan, were returning home when their motorcycle went out of control on a turn after entering the flyover from the Pandit Hotel side.The impact flung Afzal off the motorcycle, leaving him trapped on the flyover’s safety railing.Passersby alerted police around 11.25 am.Police rushed Manshan to a hospital, where he is undergoing treatment, and sent Afzal’s body for post-mortem examination.Kanpur Cantt police station in-charge Arvind Rai said further action would be taken based on the investigation and post-mortem report.
