Times News NetworkKanpur: Two children were missing after being swept away while bathing in the Chandrawal river at Parchhach village in Maudaha Kotwali area on Sunday afternoon. Villagers rescued a woman and her two daughters.Ansh (10), son of Jai Singh, and Gilhi (11), daughter of Kamlesh Bhurji, had entered the river with Kamlesh’s wife, Neelam, and her two daughters when they were caught in the strong current. Villagers rushed to the spot after hearing cries and rescued Neelam and her daughters, but Ansh and Gilhi were swept away.The sub-divisional magistrate and circle officer reached the spot. The officials and villagers continued searching for the missing children.
