Patna: Leading oncologists and medical experts from across the country will gather in Patna on Saturday for a workshop and continuing medical education (CME) programme titled ‘Towards excellence through evidence-based medicine: Gynecological cancer treatment’.Organised jointly by the Society of Oncology (Bihar), Patna Obstetric and Gynecological Society (POGS) and Savera Cancer Hospital, the daylong programme aims to train young gynaecologists in advanced surgical techniques and modern diagnostic interventions.Organising secretary and senior surgical oncologist Dr V P Singh said the programme would be held at Savera Cancer Hospital and a hotel from 9am to 9pm.The daytime session will feature live surgical demonstrations, including robotic surgery for endometrial carcinoma, cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC for ovarian cancer and open radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer.POGS president Dr Pragya M Choudhary said leading medical experts from across the country would share their clinical experience. The evening CME session will include clinical lectures, video presentations and interactive panel discussions.
