Times News NetworkKanpur: Sub Divisional Magistrate (Sadar) Anubhav Singh and inspector Deepak Kumar Kamaliya, team commander of the 11th Battalion NDRF on Saturday conducted a joint ground inspection of the areas likely to be affected by the floods to effectively tackle the potential flood situation.During inspection, the officials conducted a detailed review of the area’s geographical conditions, potential waterlogging sites, safe evacuation routes, prospective arrangements for relief camps, and preparedness for relief and rescue operations. They interacted with local villagers to gather information regarding the challenges faced during floods, past experiences and necessary resources.The SDM directed the officials to complete all pre-flood preparations in a timely, coordinated, and effective manner. He emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of vulnerable areas and instructed that effective coordination be maintained among all departments to ensure prompt relief and rescue operations in the event of any emergency.He stated that the objective of the joint inspection is to assess pre-flood preparedness, further strengthen coordination between the administration and the NDRF, and finalize arrangements to conduct relief and rescue operations in a more effective, organized, and timely manner in the event of a potential disaster.
