Mangaluru: A counter-terrorism exercise by the National Security Guard (NSG) was held at the St Aloysius (deemed to be university) in the city on Thursday. The drill was part of the counter-terrorism exercise scheduled to be held at various locations in the city from July 22 to 25.According to a release from the deputy commissioner’s office, the counter-terrorism exercise is being conducted to test security preparednes. The public are requested to follow the instructions of security personnel, including traffic regulations, extend necessary cooperation, and not pay heed to any rumours, the release stated.As a part of the drill, the commandos surveyed the institution, and conducted the mock drill in search of terrorists inside the buildings.
