Dadri sub resigstrar office lacks seating spaces, functional washrooms, water and shade for visitors

Noida: Residents raised serious concerns regarding the inadequate facilities and mismanagement at the Dadri tehsil sub-registrar office, a crucial location for property registrations in the area, particularly for flats in Greater Noida West. They highlighted challenges faced by countless visitors who flock to this office daily for essential services. Some of these include no waiting area or seats, leaving citizens to queue up in the hot sun, an unusable and locked washroom, and no provision for drinking water, etc.In a letter to the district magistrate, Sector 77 resident Amit Gupta underscored the absence of basic amenities that contribute to an uncomfortable and often distressing experience for the public. The office contains no provision for drinking water or washrooms, he said.“The only restroom available remains locked, causing significant inconvenience,” Gupta added.While there are some seating arrangements inside, visitors must endure long waits outside under a lone shed, which offers no protection from the sultry heat. Another resident, Brijesh Singh, criticised the lack of ventilation in the biometric verification area, where the uncomfortable temperatures are exacerbated by an iron shed that traps heat.Safety is another major concern. Broken manhole covers throughout the office premises have been covered with wooden planks, posing a risk of visitors falling in, Gupta said.Two large coolers placed at the front entrance were found out of use, likely in need of repairs. Residents have demanded that they be repaired and that coolers be installed in the outdoor shed to provide the much-needed relief to people waiting in the sweltering heat.“In an office that generates substantial revenue, why are basic amenities such as seating, fans, and drinking water missing?” Gupta said.As temperatures soar, the need for immediate improvements becomes more pressing to ensure that all residents can access essential services in a comfortable and safe environment.A response from officials is awaited.The Dadri sub-registrar office sees a daily average footfall of 200-300 visitors. It serves a large, fast-developing residential and commercial area, frequently resulting in a crowded, high-volume environment. Lack of proper facilities here is highly inconvenient for residents.
