Ahmedabad: Amid concerns over LPG shortage in parts of the city, Gomtipur police registered a theft complaint after nine filled LPG cylinders were stolen from delivery vehicles at different locations. According to the complaint filed on March 15 by an employee of a gas agency, the thefts took place during cylinder deliveries in residential areas. On Feb 18, three cylinders were stolen from a delivery rickshaw at Balabhai Chhagan ni Chali. On Feb 26, four cylinders were stolen from a vehicle near Suvapankhini Chali on Usha Road. In another incident on Saturday, two cylinders were stolen near Hojwali Masjid.Police said the stolen Indane cylinders were worth about Rs 28,800 in total, and further investigation is under way.
