New Delhi: NIIT University (NU) has partnered with enterprise AI platform ServiceNow to integrate industry-focused learning in artificial intelligence (AI), advanced computing and enterprise technologies into its undergraduate engineering programmes.
The collaboration, under the ServiceNow University Academic Partnerships Program, will introduce industry-recognised learning pathways across NU’s BTech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and Cyber Security, the university said on Thursday.
As part of the partnership, students will receive structured training in cloud platform development, digital transformation, enterprise workflows and emerging AI technologies, along with opportunities to pursue ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications.
The curriculum will also include modules on Agentic AI, introducing students to AI agents capable of planning, reasoning and automating enterprise workflows.
According to the university, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by embedding globally recognised technology certifications into engineering education.
Commenting on the partnership, Prof. Prakash Gopalan, President, NIIT University, said the collaboration strengthens the university’s focus on AI, computer science and emerging technologies by combining academic learning with industry-recognised certifications and practical exposure.
“Students will gain the skills and experiences needed to succeed in an increasingly digital and AI-driven world,” he said.
Sumeet Mathur, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, ServiceNow India Technology and Business Center, said the partnership would provide students with hands-on experience on the ServiceNow AI platform alongside globally recognised certifications.
He added that the collaboration aligns with ServiceNow’s commitment to equip one million learners in India with future-ready digital and AI skills.
The partnership comes as universities increasingly collaborate with technology companies to embed industry certifications and practical learning into engineering curricula amid growing demand for AI, cloud computing and enterprise technology professionals.
