HYDERABAD: Two days after a news channel anchor died by suicide, her male friend was arrested by Chikadpally police on Sunday. He was produced before a magistrate who remanded him to judicial custody. According to police sources, the anchor was in a live-in relationship with the man. He was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide. Prior to the woman’s suicide, the couple allegedly fought over the topic of marriage. Police are verifying if the accused had misbehaved with the deceased’s child.
