HYDERABAD: Union home minister Amit Shah has stated that the activities of Bharat Exports and Bharat Organics will ensure the global export of turmeric from Nizamabad. Speaking after the inauguration of the National Turmeric Board’s headquarters in Nizamabad, he stated, “We have fulfilled the promise of establishing the National Turmeric Board, making a 40-year dream of turmeric farmers come true.” The board inauguration event was also attended by state agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and panchayat raj minister D Anasuya. The home minister assured farmers that numerous marketing facilities would be created. “We will provide training whenever necessary.” He also noted that the Union government has set an ambitious target of increasing exports, which will significantly benefit turmeric farmers. The inauguration event was also attended by state agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and panchayat raj minister D Anusaya. Tummala Nageswara Rao mentioned that the Telangana govt was implementing various measures to improve farmers’ incomes.
