Jaipur: Justice Sanjay K Agarwal will be sworn in as the 44th Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court at a ceremony at Raj Bhawan Monday. Governor Haribhau Bagde will administer the oath of office to Justice Agarwal.His appointment follows a recommendation of the Supreme Court collegium, after which the Union govt issued a notification announcing his appointment to the post.Justice Agarwal was elevated as a judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court in 2014, and was subsequently transferred to Chhattisgarh High Court. He was given charge as its acting chief justice Friday.Justice Agarwal’s appointment also brings to an end the nearly year-long tenure of Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma as acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.
